What We Collect

  • Video transcripts: When you analyze a video, the transcript is sent to our server for AI analysis. Transcripts are stored to cache results and avoid redundant processing.
  • Video metadata: Title, channel name, tags, view counts, and other publicly available YouTube data used to provide keyword intelligence.
  • Account information: If you create an account, we store your email address and authentication tokens.
  • Search data (optional, extension only): If you opt in via the Chrome extension consent prompt, we collect YouTube search keywords you enter, along with the video titles, channel names, view counts, and publication dates shown in search results. This data is used to power trending topic detection and content intelligence. No browsing history, passwords, or personal identifiers are collected.

  • Optional data collection (consent required): If you opt in, the extension collects search keywords you enter on YouTube, along with video titles, channel names, view counts, and publication dates from search results. This data is sent to our servers to power trending topic detection. You can opt out at any time by reinstalling the extension or clearing extension storage.
  • Does not collect browsing history, passwords, form data, or any data outside of youtube.com
  • Does not inject advertisements or modify YouTube page content beyond the VidSyntax panel
  • Stores authentication tokens locally in Chrome's secure extension storage
